‘Treated like animals’: teens choked, traumatized at military boot camp

Amatuers. Don't they know that it is much more effective to let the students punish themselves? "Front leaning rest position!"

Those kids applied to be there, without physical abuse from the instructors they will punish themselves with pushups and stair climbers, whatever to keep from getting sent home. If the instructors start physically abusing them, then sure they will want to go home and will no longer listen except out of fear. Then whole point of the thing is missed.

Sounds like forming week at Parris Island.
