I've only bought two new guns in the last 42 years, a Ruger PS-6 in 1977, and a Ruger SR-9 in 2017. Everything else has been used, and I have never paid over $400 for any of my guns, including my SIG P320.

SGT (Join to see) I would still have the PS-6, but it got used for the wrong thing in '97, so I had to get rid of it and let someone else own it.

Although I personally would never buy a hi point, I do respect the segment of the market they cater to. I'd like to see everyone I know get into guns, even if for only personal protection reasons, and if they can only afford certain guns, I'd support their choice and help them get range time on their guns
