Impressive but aggravating for me. I am a talker, not that I like to hear myself speak but I feel I can convey my message through the inflection and tone of my voice. I can express directly my feeling of happiness or sadness
Messaging, Email, Chat
Yes, impressive but aggravating.
Messaging: used when one is trying to make contact and you know they know
Email: used to make your point, state your case
Chat: used when you really don't want to talk to the person
Aggravating: when it comes to customer service and the need to let it be known you are not happy and you need to explain why, only to find you are talking to a machine and it then ask if you want to use the chat and they'll send a TEXT.

I agree. I have really avoided doing counseling via "non-in-person" methods. I like the person to be sitting with me when we work.

Of the things the article listed, I vote for the Human Genome Project. Technology does not always improve our lives, and when it does in some ways it has harmful effects in others. You all know that military technology can be used by anyone and adds to the consequences of problems that should be solved peacefully. Cell phone use has led to children growing up with fewer social skills that can lead to lack of work skills and poor relationships, poor reading ability, and as with office work, posture and neck problems as we age.
The Human Genome Project, (see for example https://www.genome.gov/human-genome-project/What ) which has also contributed to studying the genomes of organisms that live in our body that we rely on for our survival, and the Connectome Project studying the connections in the brain, lead to ways to solve health problems, understand the countless reasons why we are all different and have different ways of learning, and on and on.
