Minimum wage strangling Seattle restaurant workers

Lt Col Charlie Brown Applying a high minimum wage to waiters and waitresses is detrimental to their income $15.00 an hour sounds good until you equate to loss of their tips.
In one of our small local restaurants here,i have seen a waitress make more than $200.00 in a couple of hours and some make as much as $500.00 dollars in an 8 hour shift. 8 hours at a flat rate of $15 only equals $120.00 a day. Minimum wage of $15 for cooks,bussers or host might be feasible,but for servers it would probably result in a loss of income.
