Location is beginning to become meaningless. Once you have a job you can almost work from anywhere these days.

It's surprising how many jobs don't require your presence at an office. I've been working remote for about 8 months now and I can say I highly recommend it. It's been common for truss designers for a long time and now more and more project estimators are working from home too. I'm about half way between being the program service guy and a commercial estimator, so I spend some of my time scripting and configuring the program for them, the rest of it doing estimates on mainly large multi family stuff.

Great article MAJ Raúl Rovira - I'd like to share this with Maj William W. 'Bill' Price and a project he's working on as well. You two should connect if you haven't already. Thanks, Mikel
