Not exactly resigned, Trump’s trademark, “You’re Fired!” Even though Esper DOD Secretary did it because he tried to bypass him.

MCPO Roger Collins yes, it is a serious question. I was an Army guy who never met any Naval personnel during my short lived career. In basic we went over the ranks of the other branches but that was in summer of 92.

In short, Navy Secretary is an idiot, Administration was right to fire him. Show me in the past where someone posing with Dead People gets anything more than a letter of reprimand. I am against desecration of the dead and agree it should be disciplined but revoking his hard earned rewards is way beyond what he did. Navy Secretary should know better and ask to look at past cases. Instead he tried to nail the guy to prove a meaningless point. Then lied about it to SecDef and tried to scheme the White House. This guy is far less honorable than the Navy Seal he tried to punish. Boot him out the door.

I'm with you. Since he loves demoting people so much for minor infractions, they should have demoted him to O1. Live by your own "high standards", which apparently this guy was highly averse to.

CPL Steve Freeman - Ha! I responded to you the same time you responded to me but yes I agree. Whats worse is this guy lied to the White House and POTUS about how he was screwing the Seal over and then runs off crying to the press about how POTUS does not understand Military Justice.

It’s pretty simple, POTUS is CinC and his say is final. The SECNAV seems to have forgotten that and now he is gone. Agree or not but that is the chain of command.
