As a retired paramedic I carry a basic 1st aid kit. No drugs or IV's. Just bandaging, Blood clotting powder, BP Cuff and Stethoscope, C-collars, Tourniquets for shock (works all most as good as mast pants.) Plastic cards for sucking chest wounds, String (to tie off the umbilical cord for childbirth.), Mouth shield ( if resuscitation becomes necessary). Equipment that is simple to carry and use in the proper hands.

I applaud you. I am considering getting an ankle rig to carry a tourniquet and a hemostatic bandage for EDC.
