Alone In The City - Chris Botti

I may have posted this song before, but it does typify my feelings and aloneness that comes when someone close..., a child young or old, relates something that inadvertently tears a hole in one's heart... Temporary of course, but yet it is hard to just let go, to let it just let it slide off your back... I will feel alone, I will feel empty inside until the healing takes place... A few days at most...I hope...

I am sure many of you have experienced that emotional rollercoaster as some time in your lives... It is almost like i have lost someone...

"I first saw Botti in 1997 at JVC Jazz Fest at Lincoln Center, in NY. I had no idea who he was, he opened for Dave Sanborne . The Midnight Without You CD was just dropping , and when he introduced this song he explained how it was written on a snowy winter night in Manhattan after his girl walked out on him. I love when an artist introduced something they wrote or did with this type of honesty. I envision a video showing the breakup...the woman walking out into the snowy Manhattan Street, and Botti just playing his heart out in the background. I especially love the guitar break."
