Difference of opinion. It would be foolish to throw good money after bad. Continuing to fund California will only insure that the same idiocy that caused the problems in the first place will continue. The US must stop enabling California's addiction to spending money on nonsense while ignoring what needs to be done. Keep in mind that this opinion comes from a California resident, one who is ashamed of his government and those who are addicted to it

CPT Jack Durish
Capt Gregory Prickett - No, not really. Most of the fires are occurring in places most accessible to arsonists or across state owned lands. The state, goaded on by environmentalists, have instituted ridiculous management programs which include forbidding PG&E from trimming back trees near power lines. Now our governor is talking about taking control of PG&E if bankruptcy fails. I fully expect then that our electric rates would be raised to raise funds for healthcare, education, etc for illegal aliens

Perhaps if Cali doesn't get funding from the Fed government (like always), they will actually look at ways to mitigate when it impacts Cali budgets. Idiotic is a good description of Cali's incompetence regarding wildfires. But hey, you get what you vote for.

That's a common argument that is ambiguous at best.
