Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - based on the Mattis' comments you found, I tend to agree with him... It does beg the question as to who is counseling the President on the drawdown?

I responded to a post previously that ISIS is like a cicada. It may appear to be gone but can reappear years later. I agree with Gen. Mattis or he agrees with me, whichever came first. The fact that the General disagrees with something the President has decided is not sufficient reason to cast aspersions upon him when you are the President in the way in which he did. When he appointed Mattis it was widely praised by a large number of people on both sides of the aisle. We have seen this before, when he has no real intelligent way to respond he calls names. I recognize that there are individuals who eat this up and will defend him even on this going around calling names just as he does. To me, it is not Presidential. My suspicion is that they both conducted themselves less than optimally. The fact that Sen. Mitch McConnell said nothing in the President's defense when asked says everything to me
