Bottom line up front I disagree with him.
But as to the comment in conversation
How can Democrats Liberals whatever tag you want to put on it have any other opinion they state loudly whenever they can that these are criminals that they’re just poor downtrodden people trying to make their way in the US shouldn’t they have a right to defend themselves I mean they’re all good people after all right just caught up in circumstance in a flawed immigration program

I share your question. If the left wants to grant all the rights and freedoms afforded to illegal immigrants (which I assume is who we are talking about here), why not the right to bear arms too? PO1 Nagel is criticizing this by stating ICE would not be happy with this, but this has me confused. Doesn't the extreme left hate ICE and feel it should be dissolved? Also, wouldn't the left be concerned if an illegal immigrant would have to come out of the shadows to register for a background check? How would this work? Would we have to mask their status when requesting a background check? How would the background check be done?

What is "unauthorized immigrant"? Is this another new term for illegal? What if an illegal alien HAS documents? Are they documented but unauthorized? What if they have no plans to migrate (remain in the US)? Are they unauthorized non-migratory documented illegal aliens?

Yes. Well I was trying to be funny this morning with how much we contort language today in an effort to change the narrative. I know I was off the topic (guns) but the "unauthorized" word just struck me and I thought, what's next? Unexplained visitor?
