LTC Eugene Chu - In my view each one of us has gaffed a few times in the haste to get an email, contract, letter, or whatever document out the door and to the person intended... I have done that myself, more than once over the years... When one is busier than a one arm coat hanger, it can and does happen... Panic sets in when one finds the gaffe, and then makes the correction immediately, sometimes apologizing! In any case, on this gaffe by Ivanka Trump, I just chuckled and remembered that it does happen to all of us, no exceptions... LOL!

She is representing the USA. She should at least review what she wrote before pushing that button. Or maybe she did and still didn't realize the mistake? And has she or Trump ever apologized for any of their errors? Yea, "we all do it". But 'we" are not the president formal representatives.

SPC Rostyslaw Caryk After re-thinking this, you are right, she should have reviewed her message... That said, withe the information originally given, we don't know what was going on at her end that might have affected her, so not knowing that piece of info, I would give her the benefit of the doubt... If nothing was happening to interrupt her typing, I would vote & agree with you... Thank you for your comment...

SPC Rostyslaw Caryk - Noting your own choice of grammar as you criticize someone's spelling error. I guess you've either never made a mistake on an official letter, or you've never written one. Yes, we ALL do it.

One example from your post:
"Yea, "we all do it". But 'we" are not the president formal representatives."

By the way, she noticed it and immediately corrected it. No need for an apology as it wasn't that big a deal and most people understand that everyone is fallible.

Oh my! we should flog those who misspell when tweeting or texting. Hell half the time I am trying to type one word and auto correct is changing it to another.

I don't think I would be sending anything official over my personal phone that would be a breach of security. I just get tired of a few on here who post nothing but stupid crap just because they Hate Trump.

SPC Rostyslaw Caryk - Yes, and mistakes STILL happen. Ones which even they miss too. The point being made is that this post is more likely being driven because it was a Trump (noting the original poster and his history with criticizing Trump). Would he still post this "report" had it been AOC? Pelosi? Clinton?

A simple search will lead one to these errors:
Clinton misspells her OWN name; "If I am fortunate enough to be your president, I will have your back every single day." - Hilary

One of Obama's communications advisers wrote the word "bigger" accept with an N.

I did not review the poster's history. I note that the "Hilary" post did not go to a future chief of state. When you are sending an official (as she is supposed to be) communications to foreign governments, you should carefully review before sending. And please note in your linked typo example that there was an apology. When was the last time any of this administration's folks actually apologized. Sorry. Not the same thing.

My comment was rhetorical. The point is, this original post is predicated on simply bashing Trump and his family. It's petty and pointless. "Hilary's" post went out to the American people. Why does it matter if it's a head of state? Also, how do you know whether Ivanka never apologized to PM Johnson directly? Do you really think he's looking for an apology? Do you think the entire United Kingdom is demanding an apology? My examples were not meant to point out the same exact thing, they were to highlight the fact that typos happen... Even from other high level government figureheads.
