Because how dare the Holocaust museum, with thousands of artifacts and documents about actual concentration camps, not want to be associated with detention camps for illegal immigrants trying to enter a country. My wife's grandmother was a long time donator to the museum, being a Holocaust survivor herself. She practiced her religion in secret for decades even after the war ended. To say the camps she lived through and the camps along the border are the same is insulting to her memory and to those millions who never left the gates of the camps.

Can't break bread with you on this one Shipmate-the Holocaust was among the worst atrocities visited on humanity-trying to draw parallels in the interest of political rhetoric is at best, irresponsible, and worse...disrespectful to those martyred, and those who survived.

Let's check the score.
Holocaust - 7.8 million dead through industrialized and systematic killing.
Border detention facilities plus ICE detention facilities - 24 during the Trump Administration, according to NBC News. Scanning the list, I saw nothing but natural causes as the cause of death.

One could question the numbers and say that the government might lie to cover up problems, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that those numbers are not remotely similar, and should not be compared with any equivalency whatsoever.
Next.
