National Insurance Awareness Day
3 Stooges Shemp threatens insurance agent
Wow, my friend SGT John " Mac " McConnell the idea of National Insurance Awareness Day seems comical.
While I was stationed at Fort Benning in 1986, I was in an accident with what turned out to be a man with no insurance. He ran a couple red lights by the entrance to I-185 in Columbus, GA and I hit him - the sun was rising to my left and I never expected a car to be barreling through against a red light. I offered to exchange insurance information. The driver was ranting. I didn't realize it but a senior drill sergeant who knew me was behind me and he saw what happened. He told me he saw the accident and his view enabled him to see the other car barreling across the overpass. He told me I would have been killed if I had pulled out as soon as the light turned.
When I appeared at court for the accident the senior drill sergeant was there and he testified what happened. The other man was found guilty but was not charged for having no insurance. He lived in Columbus, Georgia and I was just stationed there.

USAA paid the bills SGT John " Mac " McConnell This century a women rear-ended on the ramp to I-95 as I was leaving Fort Belvoir. We exchanged insurance information and her insurance which is Farmers said the accident never happened. That shocked me and I am disgusted every time I see their over-the-top-commercials.
