Nearly died, brought back, had to be "re certified" so it's an official language again :( ... It was already an official language then!

My wife's cousin-in-law on Mau'i won Miss Aloha Hula in 2011. Part of it was writing a research paper on her hulas in Hawaiian. Amazing work. Since my wife is Hapa, its one of the languages we want to teach our children (along with Cherokee, Swabian German, Gaelic, and Portuguese; all of which their ancestors spoke.)
