You know, people vote their conscience.
When broken promises become the norm, when policies fail, that is when an extremist gets followers. If it wasn't for shitty policies, these guys would never get voted in.

Not just in Austria, far right populist leaders are in multiple countries. To name a few: Philippines, Brazil, Poland, Israel...

True, but clearly the article is painting with a broad brush, presumably with the intent of making a larger point. If the intent is to speak to a larger, international issue...I assume directed much closer to home... then using Austrian Neo-Nazis as an example may approach hyperbole.
