I watched enough of it to like/loathe it...On the one hand, it explores some interesting territory dealing with just how "close" the world came to even further darkness; on the other-I feel they overestimate the potential Germany/Japan had for pressing a true invasion of the United States. They make some compelling arguments, but I'd have liked to have seen more details. In truth, I expect even with a nuclear "first strike" capability, they would've found it impossible to overwhelm the population... circa the 1940s and 1950s. I think the ending history gives us was inevitable... it was just a question of sooner, rather than later.

I didn't realize it was a parallel universe thing. Once that was known - which was late in the series - a lot was explained. I believe it was originally produced for SyFy channel and Amazon picked it up later, around second season.

I honestly do not believe the Germans would have had the capability to deliver a nuke to the US had they gotten it before us.
