Having shot a weapon does not equal understanding why owning them is important and that the right to own them is unalienable, not a "gift from politicians/government". For a recent example, look a the people from Venezuela in the streets being run down by armored vehicles, unable to defend themselves from a tyrannical government. Something our framers warned us of many years ago.
