Where did you get these ideas? Although written by wealthy land owning (some slave-owning) white men, the Constitution did not deny women any rights nor give rights only to men. It was written in the voice of "We the People". The genius of the document is that it allowed for emancipation of the slaves, women's suffrage, and other expansion of rights to include all peoples even though these things were not culturally accepted concepts in their time. (BTW, the "Three-Fifths clause opened the door to the end of slavery by preventing slave-owning states from having the legislative power to continue the institution by rule of law) And no, most of the countries in the world do not share these concepts. In America only rights are "natural" or "God-given" to all. In all other nations, rights are granted by the government and taken away "when necessary" (This includes Great Britain and Canada).

As A female I feel that I already have equal rights under the constitution so this is just a political stunt and is not necessary

Um, what?
The Constitution talks plenty about "the people". It says nothing about wealth, whiteness, males, or females. The only Amendment that referenced race was repealed.
I am all for equal rights, but as I see it, that is currently already enshrined in the Constitution.
