Culturally, maybe just put them in non-combat arms MOS's. Let those who want to volunteer for combat arms and then have segregated combat units. We do it at all levels of sports at around 12 years old.

I know there could be a point in time when this might be a big deal, MAJ Montgomery Granger, but as the situation exists today, it simply is not. Registering with the Selective Service System is not tantamount to being drafted. One is simply a name on a list. All U.S. armed forces have been volunteer since 1973. The only time that a draft would be considered would be in the event of full mobilization, which would be another world war for all practical purposes, and if that occurs, there's no question but that all hands will be on deck.
Let the women register or not. Right now, it's much ado about nothing.
