Airman Called in Danger-Close Fire Missions on Night Raid to Earn Silver Star

He's getting the Silver and Bronze Star for the same deployment. Pretty bad ass!

Everyone hears about the SEALS, Delta, Green Berets etc...however, i would pit my Special Warfare Airmen up against anyone of them at anytime. They usually embed with other forces to assist in air strikes etc. In this case he was with a Ranger Regiment.

We (the Air Force) train these guys just like all the other services do for Spec Warfare and they are nothing to cross but they are silent warriors (Para Rescue/Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (TACP's/Combat weather/Combat Controllers/Foreign Internal Defense, just to name a few). This doesn't surprise me because these guys are just that bad @$$.
