I was very impressed with some Texas Highways as they were surrounded by seas of different colors of wildflowers

Very nice! While stationed at the Pentagon we always went to the Blue Ridge whenever possible, although the Cherry Blossoms in the Tidal Basin are very impressive, but the crowds can be a turn off. Now that we are retired my favorite place for blooms is my 3 acre daylily garden! Still have a few weeks before the show really starts, but the anticipation is building!

Col Carl Whicker - I well remember our huge garden in Iowa. Depression years, we grew just about everything we ate, I recall taking a salt shaker to the garden and eating those delicious tomatoes, hot as they were from the sun. I must have lost my gardening gene after leaving the farm. It is great that we have folks like you who grow beautiful flowers for the rest of us to enjoy.

SSG Donald H "Don" Bates - Don, I well remember those sun warmed tomatoes! They tasted soooo good! Gardening is what I enjoy, and keeps me out of the house and driving my wife crazy!

Col Carl Whicker - HA, those are two good reasons for gardening. In Iowa we had a huge garden and from the time I was able to walk I worked in that garden. Lots of good memories.
