The really odd part is, one would certainly have expected that, at the very least, to have been a quite obvious no-brainer, you know?

Or, also, at minimum, to have had to pay for all the repairs, certainly, along with a goodly period of community service as well, one would think...in seen to helping with them....

In my opinion, having worked in Law Enforcement. Our justice system is now a joke.

One would certainly think in an earlier era, say a century ago, that might well have been the societal reaction, certainly...I mean, I can't pass judgment on the concept, of couse, though I can certainly perceive your point, by all means...other countries have a word for crimes like this I've seen...hooliganism, though that's probably not a sufficiently severe descriptive, is admit....

Make that a public whipping. That tends to have a chilling effect and may well be a deterrent for others.
