Was on that ship last year (“Into the Midnight Sun”). Great trip. We went through 60mph winds when we crossed over from Norway to Scotland. No big deal then, except sliding door in room kept opening a little.
I assume the ship uses electric motors with diesel generators. I’m curious as to the reason for the engine failure. I’m guessing that it’s fuel system related, with electrical as my second choice, but I’m not Navy, so I’m sure I will be educated shortly.
