The M14 Rifle - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

I was issued the M-14 in basic and my units up until I went to Vietnam in '68. After that is was always M-16s.

I was fortunate enough to qualify with the M-14, and I've always thought of it as the "next logical step" in the evolution of the individual infantry weapon. I like the reduced weight/modular nature of "the rifle we all love to hate"...but $$$ being no object, I'd want one of these on the rack with some quality glass mounted.
