The conservative government had transparency and had regulations against corruption and payoffs. This particular government has weakened the rules and in this case of the SNC- lavalin scandal has so overwhelmed the Trudeau government, that they totally ignored the protesters of the pro-oil and gas truckers who drove all the way from Alberta to Ottawa to make their case on wanting oil and gas pipelines. The majority of the liberal party in Canada and the province of Quebec are dead set against the oil and gas industry. As I said, the green New Deal that crazy AOC dreams about is being pushed by different interest groups in the Canadian government. They want to pass a tanker ban on the west coast prohibiting tankers from exporting oil. They want to prevent pipelines from being built. They want to raise carbon taxes to bend you over financially and to try to force you to use less oil, natural gas and other fossil fuels at the same time spend much of that money on stuff other than climate change mitigation. Carbon taxes are a form of legalized theft depending which Providence it is in Canada . Some provinces use the money the way it's supposed to While others put your carbon taxes and the general fund . The schizophrenic government of prime minister Trudeau with its socialist fighting the oil and gas interests are what's to be expected if the green New Deal left to kick out people like Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Dianne Feinstein in the USA. I'm here in my listening post/ observation post here in Alberta Canada telling you don't listen to The Green New Deal fanatics jumping the bandwagon not knowing that Canada is suffering because of green New Deal legislation.
