Though my medical situation was not nearly as extreme and trying as her’s, I was denied a chance at Army OCS due to an injury in the Marine Corps but was allowed to enlist into the Army Reserve, attend Airborne School, jump with my unit into multiple DZs and countries with follow-ons, and potentially be deployed to anywhere in the world. Doesn’t make sense to me but I guess that’s all above my pay grade.

It is messed up that she couldn't go to the school that wanted to go to but was forced to deploy to Syria.
