We've heard of stories of some of the gold being smuggled out of Germany in the final days of World War II. I have seen the movie Monuments Men. We have also heard about supposed Filipino gold that was sunk in the final days of the US losing the war in the Philippines in 1942. Not sure if the Imperial Japanese or president Marcos smuggled some of that sunken gold out of the Philippines. Now we have a collapsing Venezuelan regime turning into the Weimar Republic of 1920 with runaway inflation, Russians and Cubans everywhere trying to help bolster a corrupt government and now Russian transport planes allegedly coming into Caracas to take 20 tons of gold out? Not sure if this is fake news or not but it is very interesting. Just for your information, Iran is also friends with Venezuela.

This sounds like a job for the USCGC Hamilton or James working in concert with DEVGRU. If necessary, a Presidential Finding for operations in international waters. If it can't be seized than it needs to be lost at sea.
