This isn’t new. Dems been saying they support funding for border security whether its fencing, newer technology, manpower, whatever. They’re just not committing to a concrete wall. Seems like both sides are full of BS playing semantics.
As much as politicians from non border states like to talk, the politicians, leaders, officials, constituents that actually live in the border area have been clear...they don’t give a shit about a wall but they do want improved security at the POEs, technology and manpower.
