The Price of Trump’s Migrant Deterrence Strategy: New Chaos on the Border

If it is deterrence that is wanted, then just say we will not allow entrance, you will be deported if you enter illegally. (That law is already on the books.) If we refuse asylum until we have capacity...no one can legally enter. The laws are already there. (My wife complied with them!) /// I am unsure why this article says the problem is “how can we deter, rather than how can we handle.” Why are we handling?? There has to be solutions. 1. Give Mexico the money as economic development and have them build the wall. 2. During legal immigration, you must have a sponsor. I was fiscally responsible for my wife for 10 years or until she is citizen. She now makes more money as a PhD then I do... I have not heard of the gov enforcing that law. For the most part, the laws are there, when they are enforced, they complain. Please let me know when they decide not to enforce bank robbery laws... Silly me, I thought all laws were supposed to be enforced.
