Not only do they blame others, VA are complicit with the perpetrators. The new Executive Director of VAMC in Butler PA just got waiver to continue working with Ashford University. And many more DOD and VA workers also work with subprime colleges. The head of 5 education centers (including Fort Benning) is a Board Member of Ashford University.

In 1999 the VA PULLED all of my Broters teeth because of an infection in his blood before a total hip replacement. He is still waiting on his dentures from the VA.

I guess the bottom line if there is a mismanagement problem then its of course someone else's fault. Could be to some extent but it took 5.6 Billion before the VA figured out there was something wrong ? Could well be there is enough blame to go around for more than one agency including the VA itself which sure isn't without its own problems.

VA knew about this years ago. Unfortunately, the person who knew the most and said the most, Patrick Campbell, went to the CFPB. Veterans Education Success sent VA reams of information, and VA continues to sit on the evidence. https://veteranseducationsuccess.org/reports/

I respect most of the IG groups, having following the VAOIG for years, their reports are accurate and complete. The problem is they have no authority and few of their findings are acted on.

Agreed. It was a good report, but I wish they had provided more detail on the bad actors. This report will probably be forgotten.
