I fail to see how the President is the one who directed the use of specific non-lethal force tactics which most law enforcement officials use when attempting to ensure crowd control. The DHS did nothing wrong and the fact this has become a major headline is evident of the incompetence and bias of the media.
Example from CNN:
Headline - "A mother and her girls tried to reach the US border. Then they got tear-gassed."
But in the article they state - "The family was among more than 100 migrants near the Mexico-US border Sunday when a few men tried to dismantle a wire fence separating the two countries, Kim said. That's when border officials unleashed tear gas, which affected bystanders like the Honduran family that Kim photographed."
Very misleading headline.

Kim Kyung-Hoon has taken countless photos in his 13 days covering a migrant caravan in Mexico. But one image in particular stands out: The photo of a Honduran mother and her 5-year-old twin girls running away from tear gas.

SPC Casey Ashfield - I expect that from most media sources, but the point still remains, CNN is wording this specifically to fit a narrative rather than simply report the news. I'm not saying they should dis-include the information about the mother and kids, but giving it the theme of the article demonstrates their objective, which is to provide specific messaging and sensationalism vs. reporting unbiased and objective news. This is about money and pushing their own group speak view of the world.

Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin - I treat every news source with a degree of speculation. How much depends on the source. For example the mother who grabbed her kids claims it was so violent and rapid, her kid's shoes were left behind. But yet she grabs a perfectly intact and unused tear gas canister? There is only so much I can wave my BS flag before my arm falls off.

When most of the media has an agenda that is what we get sensationalism and alzheimer's by our news reporting agencies.
