SGT (Join to see) - Actually that may be beyond the mental capacity of some that are already on capitol hill.

So, sanctuary cities for illegals (against the law) are okay but sanctuaries where people obey the law are not? Excuse me?

Immigration sanctuary cities aren't against the law. The Supreme Court has already ruled on this.

LTC (Join to see) - No they did not, the rulings have been from lower courts based on an unrelated ruling from the Supreme court and no one knows where that would end up now with Kavanaugh on board.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - I should have been more precise. The SCOTUS has ruled in multiple cases that the federal government can't force states to enforce federal law. And that is what sanctuary cities choose not to do. The lower court rulings I think you are referring to are those that are challenging the Trump administrations policy of withholding federal funding from sancuary cities, which lower courts have ruled is unconstitutional, based on previous SCOTUS rulings about forcing states to enforce federal laws.
But what case law are you citing when you say that, for example, sanctuary cities like San Francisco are illegal?

Little gathering. I bet the dad of the girl holding the sign wishes he had his money back.
