The average age of American farmers is nearing 60, and according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, it keeps creeping up. As older farmers stay in the fields, beginning farmers have a tough time finding land to start their own careers. I work for a major farming, ag, biotech company. After 14 months now and having been out all over the US to visit farmers and facilities it is amazing to see the dynamics at play from all angles. Rhis being one of them.
