Nice, a PC mine. But are civilians really civilians? Maybe a mine that goes inert after XX days would be better.

I like your idea of a device going inert... I have read that DoD is researching how to develop equipment like radios and such that will disintegrate or dissolve into a pile of inert dust after a given period of time.
