Let's blame Trump for everything...climate change, sunspots, eclipses, volcanic eruptions,

Nah. I just hold him accountable for actions that he’s taken that has jeopardized out national security or status in the world. He hasn’t helped the climate change agenda but he didn’t start it. He hasn’t helped the racial or political or religious divide in America but he didn’t start it either. Sunspots and eclipses...I’ll hold him responsible for going blind if he keeps looking up when told not to look directly at an eclipse. I can keep going but I think you see my sarcasm.

MAJ James Woods - I feel that acting in our national interest is national security. I had a way to many friends lost in Iraq to do what Obama did and leave making that sacrifice all for nothing and allow the rise of ISIS, there is no reason that Iraq shouldn't be in the same economic status as any of the other Gulf states. But Bush started it- negative Clinton punted on Iraq for 8 years; missile strikes failed UN inspections and half measures. As well as forecasting the end to our surge in Afghanistan; a theatre of war that has been undermanned since day one. We got involved in Iraq in 1991 that is 27 years, in 1973 27 years after WW2 we had over 300000 troops in Europe, at the height of the Obama presidency in 2016 total overseas troop strength worldwide was only 200k that is a lack of commitment to national strength and global power projection. You know what is bad for the environment? nuclear winter. We maintain the peace through a strong defense and a constant update in technology to the nuclear triad. When Bush was in office racial divide was not even in the common Zeitgeist, that is until liberals blamed Katrina on the president. And the media couldn't get enough of Kanye back then. If you maintain that a single non-NATO country poses a real threat to the United States or its allies then you might want to crack open a copy of Janes and understand what our and the other teams' military capabilities are.

SFC David Bentley First get your facts straight. Bush signed the agreement prior to leaving office that set the withdrawal timeline from Iraq; Obama kept to it unless a SOFA could be accomplished. I was there for the final withdrawal closing down our bases or handing them off to Iraqi forces. I heard firsthand the opinion of local leaders, clerics, and political leaders through translators. They wanted legal jurisdiction over our military to charge our servicemembers with criminal charges for anything that happens during combat operations. Did we want Obama to agree to their terms just to keep a few thousand troops behind? Iraqis wanted more jurisdiction than we allow the S Koreans, Japanese and even the Saudis when it came to SOFAs.
I've too lost comrades in Iraq and Afghanistan. You know who else wanted to reduce our troop strength globally and campaigned on that? Trump. Why? Cause Americans wanted our troops home so spare me the “Clinton and Obama didn’t care about foreign national security interests” rhetoric. The mess in Afghanistan began in the 80s under Reagan when we helped create the Taliban. Republican president was in charge when we helped overthrow a democratically elected Iranian government. We should’ve drove to Baghdad during Desert Storm in the 90s but our UN mission was liberation of Kuwait not the liberation of Iraq. We should’ve finished the mission in Afghanistan before invading Iraq; I blame Cheney and the corrupt politics that led to that.
One last thing, avoiding a nuclear winter is important; so explain the nuke arms race the Trump Admin has been pushing with the “we need more nukes and officially making the 80s treaty with Russia null and void” strategy.
In summary, hypocrisy!

I think we have a $20 Trillion Economy compared to $1.5 Trillion for Russia. Whatever they could muster cash wise for an Arms Race wouldn't keep them in the race for very long. They would either fall way behind or their country would go bankrupt again.
