As a Navy Electronics Technician, and a Crypto tech, I found this story very interesting.

Read "Code Girls, The Untold Story of the American Women Code Breakers of WWII" by Liza Mundy. She did an excellent job of researching both the Army and Navy women code breakers who went to D.C. during WWII, then telling their story. Most of the women had never told anyone of their role in the war due to contracts which said it was top secret information, etc. So the stories were almost lost completely.
