It seems that journalists as well as lawyers should observe the axiom, never ask a question to which you don't already know the answer, not at least in the age of aggressive journalism. Today's journalists, like lawyers, aren't interested with informing. They want to form opinion.

Did you listen to them? One said "it was just a touch". The other said "what boy didn't do that in high school." Really? I never forced a girl down against her will, lay on top of her and tried to remove her clothes, and then cover her mouth with my hand when she tried to scream for help. None of my friends did that either. "Just a touch" LOL. What right wing news sources are they reading or listening to where they got that idea from? If those women, all republicans, represent the average intellect of republicans, it's no wonder they don't give a shit about all the lying and cheating Trump did.

SSG Jessica Bautista - Perhaps you need a safe space then where the accused is not allowed to have a voice then. Perhaps a place where innocent until PROVEN guilty is too high a standard.
If someone wants to level a 35 year old accusation to ruin someone's life, they better have some real evidence not warm air over the vocal chords. I guess you think we should just accept her side of the story, period. Kavanaugh has no right to hear from his accuser or to testify, openly deny the accusation or present anything defending himself. In your world, he should just pack it up, shut up and walk away, right? His life's work, career, reputation etc. should just be flushed down the toilet.
I hope no one ever launches an accusation like this against your father, brother, husband, son, nephew etc.

Cpl Jeff N. This is a stupid argument. Women do not risk their lives to make false accusations. If anyone accused anyone in my family of sexual assault, I'd listen. I don't live in the bubble you do.

SSG Jessica Bautista - So you think it is a stupid argument that someone should be presumed innocent that they have the opportunity to face their accuser etc. You might want to reread and brush up on the origins of our law and even Constitution.
If it was a credible accusation and had support of a reasonable kind they you listen. If what is happening now happened to a family member of yours and they were being called a rapist (when rape was never even part of the accusation) and were being vilified before a single shred of evidence or testimony is hear, I think you would call BS.
Is this a standard you would want applied to you? If someone made an accusation against you from your childhood, should your life be destroyed. The accusation is improvable, there are no witnesses to support it (people she has said were there say it did not happen). This situation is the very reason our system requires you to report a crime when it happens, not 35 years later.

Twitter sleuths eventually pointed out that one of the women that CNN identified as a “Republican voter” apparently ran for Congress, one is apparently a member of the Republican National Senatorial Committee and hosted a ritzy Ted Cruz fundraiser, another is reportedly a community council member in Dade County and the other two have seemingly run for state representative and sat next to President Trump during a roundtable on small business tax cuts, respectively.
