Leave it to the government to overspend while reinventing the wheel. My neighborhood is surrounded by 100% free, self-sustaining, natural and recyclable counter-drone systems.

Good idea. Even if you own the airspace, drones are small and cheap to procure so it is necessary to have additional protection.
