Agree, Anyone that has served in the last 17 or 18 years qualifies for membership. I talk up the legion whenever I talk to my sons active duty buddies or NCO's. It's a great resource for an active duty person, there is bound to be a Legion post near your base. IIRC there are 12 within 10 miles of my sons base. Our post is near Washington DC and we host B.O.S.S soldiers visiting the nations capital and feed them dinner. If I'm there I walk around the social quarters and take donations for their bar tab. Never had a group drink more than I could collect.
