Journalists from the left and right called out CNN for not just failing to correct its fake news, but also continuing to actively push it.
When a network like @CNN knows a story is false but stands by it anyway, what does that say about its commitment to truth and accuracy?

CNN has painted itself into a tiny, twisted corner. Is there anyone who doubts that this sentence in its "blockbuster" story was flat out false? If it's not false, how they can refuse to explain it? Are we fine with major media deceit if it's in service of a particular agenda? pic.twitter.com/PEQX0gfV0j

Lanny Davis said he was a source who lied to CNN. That’s on him.
But CNN in the story in question wrote “one of Cohen's attorneys, Lanny Davis, declined to comment.”
That means CNN might have misled readers about talking to Davis. Thats a bigger problem than a source-burn

CNN stands by report, but frankly I'm beginning to wonder whether Michael Cohen is really willing to tell Mueller that Trump knew about Trump Tower meeting in advance.

Very difficult to see how CNN can continue to stand by its July 27 Michael Cohen/Trump Tower story given its own formerly-anonymous source is now openly admitting to lying about it on the network. Retraction seems to be the only recourse here:

This is the American Pravda in action. I’ll remember this the next time you ask me to condemn Alex Jones. If there was any justice in the world, all you Journalists would be pressured to condemn CNN. This is a disgrace.

So Trump antagonist Michael Cohen's lawyer Lanny Davis was the anonymous source who provided CNN with an unverified anti-Trump story that he later disproved. In the same story, CNN said Davis declined to commentl, & it later said it stood by its reporting.

The Lanny Davis farce is yet more proof that CNN, while relentlessly pointing the finger at others in a bid to shut down its competition, continues to publish the most high profile, erroneous and damaging fake news on a regular basis.

It's sad that CNN would prefer to stick to a lie instead of coming clean with the truth. This is why we call them the Fake News and the Enemy of the Truth!

Lawyer of Cohen lying on CNN which last week mentioned 'Impeachment' 222 times in one evening. CNN does not rectify, keeping fake news 'fake'.
Lanny Davis admits he was source for CNN Trump Tower story, lied about it on air –

How do you stand by a story that the source closest to the story says is NOT true?! #FakeNews #CNN

“They are handling this differently than they would other stories because Carl is on the byline,” a CNN anchor told Breitbart News, referencing the famed Watergate reporter. “It’s a shame.”

.@CNN refuses to retract the story, instead standing by their reporting.
They are literally #FakeNews
