Not before anything happened though. There was that SC Guard bird a year or two ago that had a blade delaminate in flight.

And just recently there was an Air Force Pave Hawk that was doing a PJ paradrop that had the same thing happen seconds before the PJs we’re supposed to jump.

Given that EVERYTHING goes through there, it makes you wonder how many other flight critical parts could possibly be a ticking time bomb that could get someone killed.

CH (COL) Geoff Bailey After a 24 year career in the USAF, I now serve as a government civilian. This does not surprise me AT ALL to read. The lifelong "civies" dont have any "skin in the game". After all, it is only the military types they place at risk. I hear at least weekly how much disdain they have for us...especially those of us who get careers in the gov after we retire. The entire culture in lifelong civilians seems to be one of "hey, they wont work hard enough to fire me" (I have literally heard this exact quote so many times it makes me want to vomit). My experience might be unique, but again, this report does not surprise me one bit based on my observations.
