So many lives lost on both sides SP5 Mark Kuzinski. I met a third generation Vietnamese recently and asked about his family history here in the US. He said his grandparents were rescued by American soldiers during that whole conflict and they were only a few from onenof the small villages to have survived. :(
They were so greatful to the soldiers he said, that as soon as they could they came to America. I asked him if he had ever gone back to visit and he said they had nothing to go back to. That all of his known Family were murdered. But that they had a lot of family out here now because of all of their aunts and uncles. :) I always heard the soldiers side, but this was my first time hearing the side of a Vietnamese. kindnof gives you another perspective on the whole thing.
