Patton was a great General but he was also very temperamental and hard headed. Sometimes that's what it takes. I am not sure he would survive today's environment.

Political correctness sure wasn't part of His personality makeup at all. I'm sure in the current day He would be in far more trouble than He was even back then. He did get things done though.

“Patton then pulled out his pistol and waved it in the terrified soldier’s face, after which he ordered the hospital commander to “get that man out of here right away.” He then slapped Bennett across the face.” There’s a good chance that actually gets him shot as a potential active shooter threat.

While he was certainly capable of greatness, he was capable of equal amounts of awfulness. He maximized both potentials. Today, however, that simply would not be acceptable. At all.
