Take that island and either put it on the next Enterprise, or place it as a museum piece somewhere. The ship herself is iconic, but the island made her unmistakable.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Watching the documentary on sinking her was awesome. I wonder why no one uses a carrier in a SINKEX? How else can your test the theory of being able to sink one of you don’t sink one? That would be awesome to see, but problematic to allow. I’m sure there’s a reason they haven’t already

Personally, I'm waiting for a fully submersible aircraft carrier that roubles as a full size sub, actually...I've always wondered if that whole Japanese thing I'd just mentioned in WW2 could actappy be done for real, just for grins and giggles, if nothing else....
