That is a strange title IMHO COL Charles Williams since domestic violence encompasses assault and battery, aggravated assault and murder among other crimes.

I would not be surprised if this is linked at least tangentially to LGBTQ policy in the military barracks. Domestic violence could well be applied to same-sex and transgender violence in the military barracks. This would add charges above and beyond UCMJ Article 128 assault and battery.

Of course somebody wanted to include a separate statute under UCMJ as though the following are not sufficient:
Article 93 - Cruelty and maltreatment
Article 118 - Murder
Article 119 - Manslaughter
Article 124 - Maiming
Article 128(a) -Assault, Battery
Article 128(b) - Aggravated Assault With a Dangerous Means, Weapon or Force
Article 133 - Conduct unbecoming an officer
Article 134-3 - Assault--indecent
Article 134-4 - Assault--with intent to commit murder, voluntary manslaughter, rape, robbery, sodomy, arson, burglary, or housebreaking
Article 134-26 - Indecent acts or liberties with a child
Article 134-27 - Indecent exposure
Article 134-28 - Indecent language

That is true of many. We prosecuted in other ways over the years. Domestic violence comes in amany forms, most that can be shaped to something else and punishable by UCMJ and or Court Martial. Thank you for your service.
