Does anyone believe that minorities are just tugging at the reins, waiting to get at us white folk when we are no longer the majority? Well, let me tell you what it's like. After my tour of duty, I was stationed in Hawaii where I was a minority. And so were we all. There was no majority ethnic group and that's what America will soon look like, and it's no big deal. You'll discover that you're just another minority struggling with every other minority. I suspect that, like in Hawaii, you'll learn about the "pecking order". It's always been there, but as a member of the majority you've never had to deal with it. You'll learn the ropes quickly enough. I did. When you step up to a counter in a shop, you'll glance around and quickly figure out the order in which you'll be served based on the relationship between the counter person and all the other customers.
