Left, right, or up the middle, whoever did this is lower than pond scum. When and if apprehended, I'd like to see the punishment include sterilization. It pains me to see ignoranuses (stupid assholes from the Washington Post Style Invitational) breed.

Do you know anyone on the right or middle who would do something like this? Which party is stirring up animosity right now, calls for the assassination of a sitting president, depictions of a killing/beheading of a sitting president, tweets inciting the shooting of more sitting republican congressmen, calls to harass and bully cabinet members in public places and their private residences...
Seriously, which side, including members in the democrat leadership are doing this right now?

Cpl (Join to see) Where were you from 2008-2016? Plenty of bad behavior on all sides to go around. LTC (Join to see)

The leadership of the right denounced violence from anyone being stupid during that span of time. Can you say the same about the left, right now? Come on. Post a source that isn't an opinion piece with an anonymous source, reynolds.

My wife and I are from where he was originally, a local non-VA hospital has a plaque in the lobby for him, also, at the VA hospital near us, I once had occasion to chat wit someone who knew him, I just figured you might all find that of interest, if nothing else, you know? Clearly, a new low....

A new low... for? Vandals who break stuff? It happens all the time. Its bad behavior... but, I'm not sure what it'd be a new low for.

Cpl (Join to see) Did you read your own article? There is nothing in there about this being done by anyone in particular.
"Suffolk County Police have opened an investigation into who shattered the lieutenant’s memorial stone into thirteen pieces, but have made no arrests, the Sachem Patch reported."
It sounds like you just decided, arbitrarily, and without evidence that it was done by someone on the left. Is there additional evidence we're missing?

The only lens we should be looking through is the Constitution and the LIMITs placed on our government. I took an oath to defend that document not a person nor party. Due process? The media and most dems have already convicted trump and his supporters of treason without an indictment or trial. Due process isn't malleable when the wind blows in your general direction.

Cpl (Join to see) - Ok, then let's look at this event through the Constitutional lens. Due Process is a Constitutional issue. You are not giving anyone the benefit of due process regarding this - as would be Constitutional.
This has nothing to do with President Trump so I'm not sure what your point is regarding that. Are you saying that because the main stream media talks about President Trump and his issues and possible conspiracies and collusion and whatever that that makes it ok for random people (you) to just throw out baseless claims about crimes (ie, breaking a memorial)?
Do you only follow your Oath to support and defend the Constitution when everyone else also does? Or does your Oath mean that you, personally, have made a choice to follow the Constitution REGARDLESS of what anyone else chooses to do? If the latter is the case, then you should absolutely be advocating for due process in this case - and every case - including POTUS issues. But, consistency is important - otherwise your oath is nothing more than hot air. The choice is yours.

I know we both agree to Term Limits, the question is why do you believe that? What makes you believe the legislators should be termed out of office? Is it because you feel they are operating outside their constitutional limits?
It's obvious you and I are both patriots, but we interpret the written word of the US Constitution differently. I have a copy of the US Constitution with the federalist and anti federalist papers on my desk. I do thorough research before I come to my conclusions, I choose to think for myself rather than let a talking head think for me.
My oath is to the US Constitution as it's written right now, not some future version a marxist professor hopes it to be. I'm sorry you can't see it from my point of view and I refuse to partake in the ideological purity that the democrat party has adopted over the last decade.

Cpl (Join to see) - Legislators should be termed out of office because they are outside the intent of how the process of Representatives was envisioned to work. "Congressman" was never intended to be a career - it was a public service that people would do - like jury duty - and then go back to their regular careers.
Contrary to operating outside their Constitutional limits, I think Congress has, by and large, abdicated much of it's Constitutional duty and responsibility in favor of getting re-elected. Re-election is the paramount motive for almost every Congressperson's action or vote.
As for parties - I feel your pain. I abhor the two-party system that we have devolved to. Both parties are trash and a cancer on the values of the United States. In order to fix it, we need term limits AND ranked-choice voting which would allow people to vote their conscience as well as what they think is in their personal best interest.
