I live in Budapest, been here for close to 10 years now. The Gov. is going to massive lengths to push this.
For instance, a family with 2 children receive about 7000 USD for a house, a family with 3 children (or who promise to have 3 in the next 10 years) receives 30.000 USD for a house. Considering a very nice house just on the edge of the city runs about 120K USD, 30K is huge.
The culture here is amazing for children, the city is filled with clean and tidy parks with playgrounds, parents are nice to each other, no crime on the playgrounds, respect between the children and much more.
Not a bad place to live, I left Germany almost 10 years ago because all that I mentioned above had disappeared, at least in Berlin where I lived.
