Maybe the US Army should invest in some GPS transponder but they can clip on the soldiers web gear in the event he gets lost. The transponder cannot be used by the soldier to help him on his land nav course. It's such a sad situation! Maybe they should have roving helicopter added with a medic on board.

Not sure, sir! I actually don't know what that concept is unless you're referring to the force 21 Soldier. I know that the US Marines and the Canadiens have something similar to this and their GPS when they carry a vest and they can tell who's killing who in an exercise. Maybe they should wear those tracking system that's already available . The technology is out there

This is a Canadian instructor showing that vest system I'm talking about.

It's miles Gear with a GPS. It also tells the medic if the person is wounded what kind of wound it is. If the medic is not by the soldier within a few minutes. The soldier "dies". This is also how the Canadian maneuver and Training Center keeps track of soldiers and civilians on the battlefield AKA Cobbs.
